Scholarships and awards
Cambridge Excellence Awards (Cameroon)
The ‘Cambridge Excellence Award’ was established in Cameroon and, as part of it, Cambridge partners with local primary schools to identify the top three pupils from every primary school in the country. The students are offered a cash prize and free textbooks to help them in their future education.
Cameroon has both an English-speaking and a French-speaking education system and the ‘Cambridge Excellence Awards’ focus on both English and French schools in all ten regions in Cameroon, which is a unique approach.
Since it was established in 2008, the awards have changed the lives of nearly 200 students and their families.
Scholarship: African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (South Africa)
We provide scholarship funds which contribute towards students being able to attend the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences in South Africa. This in turn enables them to take on the challenge of higher degrees in world-renowned universities. To date 305 students from 30 African countries have graduated from the Postgraduate Diploma programme.
Ronald Mansbridge Fund (USA)
Our offices in America have set up an educational fund in memory of Ronald Mansbridge, the founding Director of the Americas branch. The fund is used to sponsor scholarships for Westchester Community College’s (WCC) Study Abroad Program at Cambridge University.
